The story
Made for the love of European nights
Drafted is a small, independent football game built by one person — no studio, no publisher, no licence. Just a fan trying to bottle the feeling of a big European night.
Why it exists
Drafted started as a simple question: what if you could pull the greatest players from football history into your own team and take them all the way through a Champions League–style tournament? Not a spreadsheet, not a sticker album — a quick, replayable game you can pick up in a browser tab and finish in one sitting.
The whole thing is built around that one loop. Spin the wheel, draft a legendary XI from iconic squads, appoint a manager, then chase the trophy through a 36-club league phase, two-legged knockouts and a one-off final. Every run is a little different, and every run is over quickly enough that you always want one more.
A one-person project
There is no team behind Drafted — it is designed, written and built by a single football fan in their spare time. That means it grows slowly and deliberately: new squads, new managers and new features arrive when they are ready, not on a roadmap dictated by anyone else. If you find a bug, or think a player rating is wildly wrong, that feedback genuinely shapes what happens next.
It is, and will stay, free to play. There are no accounts to create and nothing to download — everything runs in your browser. If you want to see how a run actually plays out, the best thing to do is just start one.
Not affiliated with UEFA
Drafted is an independent fan project. It reproduces the modern Champions League format for fun and is not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by UEFA or any club, league or governing body. All club names, seasons and players are referenced for identification only, as a tribute to the football that inspired the game.
