The era

The 2010s are when possession stopped being a statistic and became an argument. Barcelona's passing side and the pressing teams built to beat it defined the tactical decade, while Real Madrid quietly won the Champions League more times than anyone in the modern era. It's the decade most players remember first-hand, which is why the names in this pool need no introduction.

Among the squads you can land on: Barcelona 2010-11, Bayern Munich 2019-20 and Real Madrid 2016-17.

This pool is the playable half of a decade. The 2010s era page covers the same squads as a reference — every side, what each won, and the clubs and countries the decade belonged to.

How it drafts

Second only to La Liga in strength, and the deepest of the era pools — twenty players rated 90 or above, spread across enough squads that you rarely get stuck. The challenge here is less about survival and more about whether you can assemble something genuinely balanced out of a wheel that keeps offering you world-class attackers.

The wheel only ever serves squads from this pool, so all 14 of them come up often enough to matter — the whole point of narrowing it. The strongest player you can land on is Lionel Messi (97), and the best XI the pool could theoretically assemble averages 94.2. You will not get that XI: you get whatever the wheel gives you, one squad at a time, and you have to build around it.

Runs in this pool count on the global leaderboard exactly like any other — there is no scoring penalty for narrowing the wheel. See how a run works if you haven't played before, or start from the top of the football draft game.
