Premier League Draft
English football since 1992. Draft an XI from the Premier League squads that went furthest in Europe — Ferguson's United, Istanbul, the Invincibles' era and the modern City sides.
The era
The Premier League pool spans the competition's whole life, from the Arsenal Double side and the United team that won the treble to the City side that repeated it twenty-four years later. Along the way: the Arsenal of the mid-2000s, the Liverpool of Istanbul and of 2019, the two Chelsea sides that won it, and the Newcastle team that briefly made everyone believe. Every squad in this pool is one that actually competed in Europe rather than merely finished high domestically.
Among the squads you can land on: Manchester City 2022-23, Manchester United 2007-08 and Liverpool 2018-19.
How it drafts
Almost exactly as hard as the full database — it lands within half a percent of it, which surprises people who expect the richest league to be the soft option. English squads here are deep but rarely top-heavy — fourteen players rated 90 or above against twenty in the Spanish pool, from a larger set of squads — so you end up with a strong, even XI rather than one carried by two superstars.
The wheel only ever serves squads from this pool, so all 15 of them come up often enough to matter — the whole point of narrowing it. The strongest player you can land on is Cristiano Ronaldo (95), and the best XI the pool could theoretically assemble averages 92.5. You will not get that XI: you get whatever the wheel gives you, one squad at a time, and you have to build around it.
Runs in this pool count on the global leaderboard exactly like any other — there is no scoring penalty for narrowing the wheel. See how a run works if you haven't played before, or start from the top of the football draft game.
