Bayern Munich Squads
Three squads, two trebles and the final that got away — Munich's whole modern era in the space of twenty-one seasons.
The club, season by season
The 1998-99 side won the Bundesliga and led the final into stoppage time before losing it in a way German football has never quite finished discussing; Kahn, Matthäus and Effenberg were the spine of it. The answer took fourteen years: the 2012-13 team won the treble with Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Robben and Ribéry, and the 2019-20 side did it again behind closed doors with Lewandowski scoring 55 in all competitions. Neuer is the thread through both of the modern ones.
In the draft
The most evenly built pool of the big clubs. The two treble squads share Neuer, Boateng, Alaba and Müller, and both are strong in every line rather than assembled around one player, with five different names at 90 or above across the three squads. Lewandowski at 94 is the headline, but a Bayern draft usually wins on not having a weak position rather than on a single name.
Every Bayern Munich squad below can turn up when you spin the wheel — the highest-rated of them all is Robert Lewandowski (96), and the best XI these 3 squads could theoretically assemble averages 90. You don't get to pick: the wheel decides which squad you draft from, one pick at a time. That is the whole shape of it: you draft your own XI first, then find out what it was worth.
