The club, season by season

The 1995-96 side beat Ajax on penalties in Rome, with Del Piero at 21, Vialli as captain and Lippi in the middle of the run that produced three finals in four years. The 2002-03 team went back and lost the all-Italian final to Milan, again on penalties, with Buffon and Nedvěd both at 91 — Nedvěd in the season he won the Ballon d'Or, and suspended for the final. Del Piero, Ferrara, Pessotto, Tacchinardi and Conte appear in both.

In the draft

The most Italian pool in the game outside the Serie A draft mode: two squads built back-to-front, with Buffon at 91 behind a defence that was the point of the team. The five shared players mean the two sides draft more alike than most pairs here. If you want goals, this is the wrong club; if you want a side that reaches the final without conceding, it is the right one.

Every Juventus squad below can turn up when you spin the wheel — the highest-rated of them all is Pavel Nedvěd (92), and the best XI these 2 squads could theoretically assemble averages 86.7. You don't get to pick: the wheel decides which squad you draft from, one pick at a time. That is the whole shape of it: you draft your own XI first, then find out what it was worth.
