Inter Milan Squads
Three squads, twenty-six seasons apart: Ronaldo at his absolute peak, Mourinho's treble, and the side that took the second star back to Milan.
The club, season by season
The 1997-98 team won the UEFA Cup with a 21-year-old Ronaldo rated 94 — the highest of any player in the 1990s squads, and the season most people mean when they say they saw him before the knees. Twelve years later Mourinho's side won the treble, the only Italian club to have done it, with Sneijder, Eto'o and Milito. The 2023-24 team won Serie A at a canter and reached the final the following season, which is the run this squad is a snapshot of.
In the draft
The least repetitive club pool of the big ones — only Zanetti appears twice, and the three squads are built to three completely different plans. Ronaldo's 94 is the outlier: draft the 1997-98 side and you get one of the highest-rated forwards in the game plus a supporting cast in the low 80s, which makes for a lopsided XI that lives or dies on whether he stays on the pitch.
Every Inter Milan squad below can turn up when you spin the wheel — the highest-rated of them all is Ronaldo (94), and the best XI these 3 squads could theoretically assemble averages 88.8. You don't get to pick: the wheel decides which squad you draft from, one pick at a time. That is the whole shape of it: you draft your own XI first, then find out what it was worth.
