The club, season by season

It begins in 1991-92 with the first European Cup in the club's history, at Wembley, under a manager who had already won it there as a player. Fourteen years later Rijkaard's side took the second with Ronaldinho at his peak. Then the part everyone remembers: Guardiola's 2008-09 treble, the 2010-11 team most people would name as the best of the century, and Luis Enrique's 2014-15 treble with Messi, Suárez and Neymar. The five squads are one continuous argument about whether football is best played by keeping the ball.

In the draft

The strongest club pool in the draft, and the most repetitive: Messi, Xavi and Iniesta each appear in four of the five squads, and Piqué, Puyol, Busquets, Valdés and Alves in three. Messi's 97 in the 2010-11 side is the highest rating in the entire database, and the four modern squads are deep enough that almost any XI drafted from them works. If the wheel is kind here, the run is close to decided.

Every Barcelona squad below can turn up when you spin the wheel — the highest-rated of them all is Lionel Messi (97), and the best XI these 5 squads could theoretically assemble averages 93. You don't get to pick: the wheel decides which squad you draft from, one pick at a time. That is the whole shape of it: you draft your own XI first, then find out what it was worth.
